QikKids Updates
Most QikKids program updates are downloaded via the SmartUpdate system inside QikKids.  To launch SmartUpdate and check for any available updates choose "Check for Updates" from the Tools menu.

QikKids 4 PDF Printer (version 2.1)
This updated driver for QikKids 4 Professional and QikKids 4 Enterprise allows multiple statements to be printed to a single PDF.  Please uninstall any existing QikKids PDF printer through Add / Remove Programs in the control panel.

The QikKids 4 Reference Guide is regularly updated to cover new additions to the software.  Because of its size, we do not automatically distribute updates via the SmartUpdate system.  Copy this file into your QikKids 4 directory to have it accessible via the help menu.

Normally this QikKids component is updated automatically via the Internet every time it is run.  However, in some circumstances where the SmartUpdate system is blocked by a firewall or proxy manually downloading and installing this update may resolve updating problems

Microsoft Mail Merge Tutorial

Microsoft Office Updates
QikKids makes extensive use of Microsoft Office, particularly Access 2000 / XP. This link will take you to the Microsoft website and update your Office files to the latest version. Hit the "Go" button once you are there.

Windows Service Packs
Microsoft includes many security and bug fixes into its Windows Service Packs.  We strongly recommend keeping your computer up-to-date with the latest Service Pack.

Using the Microsoft Windows Update site is the simplest way to check for and download any new service packs.  This link will take you there.

Download and install this program to enable viewing of emailed QikKids reports.

Real VNC (right click to download)
Real VNC can be used by our support desk to directly troubleshoot QikKids and general computer problems.

MDAC
The Microsoft Data Access Components library provides many important files used by applications such as QikKids.  The current version of MDAC is 2.8 SP1, and is included in the latest Windows Service Packs for XP and 2003.

JET 4 Service Pack
JET is a Microsoft library that allows Windows programs to talk to databases such as Access. QikKids requires a minimum of JET 4 Service Pack 6, however we strongly recommend installing this latest update.  The service pack contains some very important fixes, including ones that can cause data corruption. JET 4 Service Pack 8 is available for Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003.
