2008 FACSIA Update (29/01/2008)
FACSIA have advised the following : "To be eligible for Child Care Benefit approval, Family Day Care (FDC), Centre based Long Day Care (LDC) and Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services must register for and satisfactorily participate in Child Care Quality Assurance (CCQA). Services are required to go through “accreditation” at an arranged time". If your service has not successfully participated in CCQA, we encourage you to discuss with FACSIA immediately.

This update corrects several payroll issues: 1) Import of Qk3 payroll data fails if employees have phone numbers with more than 15 digits. 2) On screen display of pay hours is now rounded to 2 decimal places rather than 1.

QikKids 4 Build 231 (03/08/2006)
This update includes the official QikKids 4 payroll release. QikKids 3 payroll data from July 1 2006 can be imported by choosing Tools->Import QK3 Payroll. After importing it is highly recommended that Job Details (on the Staff screen) are checked and each pay is edited and recalculated to ensure that it is fully updated to QikKids 4.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - QIKKIDS (24/07/2006)
As part of the ongoing committment to customer support and development of QikKids, the product now has a new owner. As of July 1, 2006, QikKids is now owned by QK Technologies Pty Ltd.

QikKids has now officially opened its new National Support and Technical Centre in Brisbane. The new support and technical centre will be open from 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and consist of support, technical and programming staff to assist you with all of your QikKids queries.

For existing clients in Qld and NSW (Giggletree), your contact number of 1300-367 770 will remain as is. For those clients currently using other 3rd parties for support, we welcome you to use our new QikKids Support Centre. Simply complete the required information at http://www.qikkids.com.au/details.asp and we will be in contact with you to arrange access.For those clients who have currently paid for annual support, QikKids will honour those existing arrangements.

Along with the new Support centre, QikKids will also have local staff in each state to help you with training and new QikKids enhancements. We would also like to advise that QikKids has ended its relationship with CSITS (CSI Technology Solutions). Currently, the only authorised means for ordering the QikKids product is to contact 1300-367 770. This is for all sales, training and upgrades. Over the coming months, QikKids will also be announcing some very exciting initiatives regarding the QikKids software.

This update corrects several schema upgrade errors and also excludes registered care from the ATO 30% Rebate Statements. Employee pay details can now be input.

QikKids Servers Maintenance (19/07/2006)
The main QikKids servers will be relocated to our new offices on Sunday 23rd of July. There may be some interruption to the website, SmartUpdate and the Payment Gateway from Saturday night as the new addresses take effect.
